FINANCIAL AID

EB is committed to socio-economic diversity, which is achieved thanks to two need-based financial aid programs.

The first is EB’s own program for families who do not hold French citizenship, and covers up to 55% of tuition, laptop fee, extended day care fee and trips. EB's financial aid program is available to all students without regard to gender, race, color, religion or national origin. However, families who receive aid from the Bourse Scolaires cannot cumulate both forms of aid.

Completed applications for EB’s financial aid are due January 15, 2010 for continuing families. For new families, the deadlines are more flexible (read more by clicking below).

The second program, the Bourses Scolaires, is administered by the French government and is for French families residing in the US and whose children are registered with the Consulate. This program covers up to 100% of tuition based on demonstrated financial need. We are very thankful to the French Government for its very generous contribution, which enhances EB's socio-economic diversity.

Completed applications for the French Bourses Scolaires for 2010-11 must be received by the French Consulate by February 12, 2010 (2009 tax returns must be available then) if the family is already residing in the United States (regardless of whether they are new or continuing EB families). If you did not apply for Bourses Scolaires for the current school year with the San Francisco French Consulate, you need to make an appointment at the Consulate to deliver your documents in person.

Families currently living outside the Bay Area should contact the French Consulate for information on deadlines and procedures.
