MIDDLE SCHOOL

 

 

EB’s Middle School curriculum is designed around both California state standards and French Ministry of Education standards, so that students have social studies, math, and language arts in both languages. Instruction time is divided equally between both languages, and our teachers hold credentials in the subjects they teach. Teachers work together to ensure that their respective curricula mesh, The“Itinéraires de Découverte” are designed to allow innovative approaches to interdisciplinary projects. Students work in mixed-grade groups with one or several teachers; topics vary by trimester and are as diverse as yoga and digital filmmaking. We also have a vibrant Visual Arts program, Drama, and Music.

EB’s integration of technology into the classroom is also one of the strengths of our program. We offer a one-to-one laptop program and smart boards in every classroom, and we work carefully to help students develop both skills and judgment in their use of technology.

This solid academic preparation is balanced by a wide range of programs that support the children’s social development, their creativity, and their involvement in the community around them.
